Who we are

Our website address is https://compressortalk.com. This site publishes the podcast Under Pressure: Compressor Talk, produced by Midwest Compressor Systems.

What we collect

This is a static website. We do not run a comment system, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect personal data through forms on this site. If you email us, we hold your message and address only for as long as we need to answer you and to send updates you have asked for.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which episodes people listen to and which pages they read. It records aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, approximate region, referring site and device type. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on .

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Analytics and any embedded third-party player may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Audio and embedded content

Episode audio is hosted and served by Buzzsprout. When you press play, Buzzsprout receives your request and may log it, including your IP address and user agent, to produce download statistics. See the Buzzsprout privacy policy.

Pages may include embedded content from other websites — podcast players, video, images or social posts. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with their content. We do not control those practices.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that run this site and podcast — our hosting provider, Buzzsprout and Google Analytics — and only to the extent they need it to deliver the service.

How long we retain your data

Email correspondence is retained as long as it is useful for answering you and for the ongoing running of the show. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting.

Your rights over your data

You may ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and you may ask us to erase it. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. To make a request, email podcast@compressortalk.com.

Where your data is sent

Email you send us is processed by our email provider. Analytics data is processed by Google. Audio requests are processed by Buzzsprout.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
